The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has been serving millions of deserving clients for the past 16 years of being established.
This national government agency has since had employment opportunities for individuals that will help Sassa deliver its mandate to provide comprehensive social security services for vulnerable people and those living in poverty.
Like any other government job, vacancies are published on a specific platform. It has been reported that a Sassa job vacancy has been published on the Clindz Careers, as well as a few other job opportunities.
However, in an announcement, Sassa said:
The public is cautioned against the advert as it is fake and does not come from Sassa.
All Sassa vacancies are published on the agency’s official website and also in national newspapers.
Alternatively, the public may frequently take a look at the weekly circular by the Department of Public Service (DPSA) which publishes government employment opportunities on Friday that are available in various departments, including the Department of Social Development.
Sassa vacancies may be found by following these three steps:
- Type out Sassa careers on your search engine and click on enter.
- Click on the first result, which will be written as Sassa vacancies.
- Click on the province of your choice.
According to DPSA, job seekers no longer need to submit certified copies of their relevant documents when applying for a job.
This then means that all that you have to submit is a properly completed Z83 form, copies of supporting documents, and a detailed CV.
Only shortlisted candidates are expected to submit certified copies of their documents to Human Resources on or before the day of the interview.
