Creese joins the preschool team with a distinguished academic background and deep-rooted commitment to early childhood development (ECD).

Having graduated with honours from the University of South Africa, Creese earned her Bachelor of Education degree cum laude, demonstrating both her dedication and academic excellence.

She is no stranger to Curro Century City having been a valued member of the team for the past six years, most recently serving as Grade 2 Head and Subject Head for Mathematics. Now stepping into this leadership role within the preschool, Creese is eager to bring her passion for ECD to a new level.

“I am beyond excited to embark on this journey in a segment that aligns so closely with my passion. As Head of Preschool, I look forward to creating an environment where young learners can explore, discover, and grow during these important foundational years. This opportunity also means I can support our teachers, engage with families, and introduce innovative practices that will provide a strong start for our young learners,” she said.

Her vision for the preschool centres is to continue expanding the preschool’s nurturing environment.  She aims to foster a seamless transition from preschool to Grade R, ensuring that every child feels a sense of belonging within the broader school community. Her mission also includes supporting the development of curiosity, creativity, and a genuine love for learning, values that reflect Curro’s educational philosophy.

Outside of the classroom, Creese finds joy in spending time with her family and her bulldog, Madison-Rae. She’s an avid traveller, water sports enthusiast, and delights in experiencing diverse cultures and cuisines. These personal passions bring an added layer of warmth and vibrancy to her leadership.

Christiaan Maree, Executive Head at Curro Century City, expressed his excitement for Creese’s new role: “With Micaela at the helm, we look forward to an exciting future for our preschool, where each young learner can thrive, explore, and build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Micaela’s dedication, enthusiasm, and experience make her an outstanding choice to lead our preschool. Her commitment to early childhood development and her familiarity with the school community ensures that she will guide our young learners with care and inspiration. We look forward to seeing her leadership enrich the Curro Century City preschool experience for everyone”.
