Requirements for the RMA graduate programme. As part of being a Significant Social Insurer, RMA has formulated a Young Talent Strategy that is driven by our passion and commitment to promoting socio and economic inclusion especially amongst previously disadvantaged or under-represented groups. From the start, we will partner with you on your integration into the organisation, equip you with hands on exposure to build the experience that will compliment your qualification.

The graduate programme is based on our strategic need for a sustainable talent pipeline and our employee value proposition of Significant Growth. As an RMA Graduate, you will be assigned to a business unit based on your qualifications as well as career aspirations and will be supported with dedicated buddies, mentors, and technical coaches. Through rotational opportunities you will be exposed to worldclass training in order to build your knowledge and skills.  

To further position you for success, you will be provided with Just-in-Time feedback regarding your performance in the programme further supporting your learning journey. For holistic learning, as a graduate you will also attend other technical and soft skills training to augment your programme and learning experiences, thus promoting sustainable employability.

What you need to qualify:

  • NQF 7 qualification, with a strong academic record (Essential)
  • Having a qualification in one of these disciplines is advantageous: Actuarial Science, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing and Communications, Business Management, Finance, Strategy, Economics, Data Science, Investments, IT, Industrial Psychology, Risk and Compliance, Legal, Clinical Associate, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy
  • Be a South African citizen under the age of 35 years, as this is a Youth development programme
  • Not have participated in a similar programme before
  • Have a strong desire to work in financial services, more specifically in the Insurance Industry
  • Have evidence of extra mural participation and leadership roles
  • Be highly curios and willing to learn.
