About the Rio Tinto HR Graduate Programme
Rio Tinto is inviting applications from passionate and motivated graduates to join its 2027 Human Resource Graduate Programme. The programme provides participants with hands-on experience in a dynamic working environment while helping them build both foundational and future-focused professional skills.
Applicants who graduated in 2025 or 2026, or who are expected to complete their qualification by March 2027, are encouraged to apply.
Successful graduates will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while gaining exposure to the human resources function within a global organisation.
Rio Tinto HR Graduate Programme Requirements
To qualify for the Rio Tinto Graduate Programme, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Hold, or be completing, a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Have no previous work experience, as this programme is intended for recent graduates.
- Not be currently enrolled in, or have previously participated in, another graduate programme.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of KwaZulu-Natal.
Documents Required When Applying
Applicants must submit the following supporting documents with their application:
- An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A complete academic transcript covering all years of study.
- A certified copy of a South African Identity Document.
- A certified copy of a valid South African driver's licence.
- Certified copies of all relevant qualifications.
- Certified proof of residence or domicile address.
Rio Tinto advises applicants to ensure that all certified documents are clear and legible before submitting their application. Applications with missing, unclear or incomplete supporting documents will not be considered and may be automatically declined.
