PPS Healthcare Administrators (PPSHA) is inviting applications for its 12-month Internship Programme aimed at recent South African graduates who are eager to build a career in the medical aid administration industry. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and skill development across key business units.
Location: Centurion
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be a South African citizen, aged 18–35 years
• Completed Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
• Completed a 3-year Bachelor’s degree, National Diploma, or Honours in one of the following fields:
– Commerce / Accounting
– Information Technology
– Clinical Medical Associate
– BCur in Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing Science)
• Fluent in English (knowledge of other South African languages is an advantage)
• Professional image with excellent time management and administrative skills
• Must be currently unemployed and not enrolled in another internship programme
• Basic computer literacy and ability to work under pressure
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gain exposure to medical aid correspondence, claims assessment, and member subscriptions
• Assist with clinical administration, underwriting, and processing of new member applications
• Support various business units while participating in formative and summative assessments
• Serve as a PPSHA ambassador by ensuring exceptional customer service
• Apply academic knowledge in a practical, real-world business environment
• Develop technical, soft, and professional skills through structured training and mentorship
• Network with experienced professionals in the healthcare administration sector
