The PIC Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a structured workplace development initiative aimed at helping graduates transition from academic study into professional careers.

PIC Graduate Programme Qualifications
Graduates with qualifications in a range of fields can apply, depending on the area of specialisation.
Finance
Corporate Finance: Bachelor's Degree in Financial Accounting or Auditing. Knowledge of taxation, cost accounting, valuations and financial modelling will be advantageous.
Procurement: Any commerce-related qualification, with a general interest in finance.
Company Secretariat: Commerce (Economics) or Law.
Compliance and Legal
Regulatory Compliance: Bachelor of Commerce or LLB.
Investment Legal: LLB or Bachelor of Commerce in Law.
Corporate Legal: LLB or Bachelor of Commerce in Law.
Corporate Services
Records Management: Qualifications in Information Science, Records and Archives Management, Information Management, Knowledge Management, Library and Information Science, Information Systems, Data and Information Governance or Digital Information Management.

PMV and Investment Operations: IT/Business Analyst qualification with an understanding of finance.

Who Can Apply For The PIC Graduate Programme?
Applicants for the PIC Graduate Development Programme 2027 must meet the following requirements:
- Have a comprehensive CV.
- Be a South African citizen and provide a certified copy of their South African Identity Document.
- Be studying towards a minimum NQF Level 7 qualification from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Have achieved a minimum overall academic average of 60% in their completed qualification.
- Provide certified copies of qualifications and/or their latest academic results.
- Provide an official academic transcript.
- Not have previously participated in a similar graduate programme.
- Have a strong interest in pursuing a career in financial services, particularly asset and investment management.
- Demonstrate a strong record of academic performance.
