This programme provides hands-on experience in one of South Africa’s most dynamic retail logistics environments — where precision, teamwork, and innovation keep the business moving.
As a DC Intern, you’ll gain exposure to large-scale operations, support real projects, and help improve the systems and processes that ensure products reach customers efficiently.
About the Role:
Interns will support the Distribution Centre Testing Team in validating operational processes, systems, and infrastructure before the full-scale launch. This is a unique opportunity to develop practical skills while contributing to critical business readiness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in end-to-end testing of DC operations and workflows.
- Validate system functionality and document test results.
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Collect and analyse operational data for optimisation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align processes.
- Assist in training simulations and onboarding readiness exercises.
- Ensure safety and operational compliance during all testing activities.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis tools.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Advantageous:
- Previous exposure to warehouse or supply chain environments.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems.
- Participation in learnerships or work readiness programmes.
