The Mercedes-Benz South Africa Bursary Programme aims to develop exceptional Grade 12 learners and tertiary students by providing funding for their studies and hands-on work exposure within the company.

What the Bursary Covers

Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial assistance, which includes:

  • Tuition fees at a university of your choice*
  • Meals, accommodation, and stationery*
  • Allowances and paid vacation work at Mercedes-Benz, East London*

Who Can Apply

To qualify for the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 learners must have an overall average of 70% or higher
  • Minimum of 65% in Mathematics and/or Physical Science (for engineering-related fields)
  • Current Grade 12 learners must submit their latest third-term results
  • Tertiary students must provide their final matric certificate and most recent semester results with a minimum average of 65%
  • Final academic results will be considered during the selection process

Documents Required

When applying, please ensure you include:

  • A detailed CV (preferably in PDF format)
  • Certified copy of your ID document
  • Certified copy of Grade 12 third-term results (for current learners) or full tertiary academic record (for university students)
  • Certified copy of matric certificate (for tertiary students)
