Technology solutions company Gijima is inviting unemployed young South Africans to apply for its Systems Support Learnership Programme in Cape Town.

The 12-month learnership will provide participants with the opportunity to obtain a National Certificate in IT: Systems Support (NQF Level 5, SAQA ID 48573) while gaining valuable workplace experience in the information technology sector.

This programme is aimed at unemployed youth who want to build careers in systems support, networking and IT infrastructure.

About The Gijima Systems Support Learnership

The National Certificate in IT: Systems Support is designed to equip learners with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to support computer systems, networks and end-users in a professional business environment.

Successful candidates will receive training that focuses on:

  • IT systems support
  • Computer networking
  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Customer support
  • Workplace readiness and professional development

The programme offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring IT professionals to gain an industry-recognised qualification while improving their employability.

Learnership Requirements

To be considered for the Gijima Systems Support Learnership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have completed Matric with Mathematics and English
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have no criminal record
  • Must currently be unemployed
  • Must not be participating in another learnership or internship programme
  • Must not be registered at any educational institution, including distance learning programmes
  • Must reside within the greater Cape Town area
  • Must be younger than 35 years old as of 30 June 2026
  • Must be a South African citizen

Please note that relocation assistance is not available, and only applicants currently living in the Cape Town area will be considered.
