Gauteng Gambling Board Internship Programme 2026 Now Open
The Gauteng Gambling Board is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for its 24-month Internship Programme. This opportunity is aimed at young South Africans who want to gain practical workplace experience within a government institution.
The internship programme provides structured training and hands-on exposure aligned with participants’ academic qualifications. Interns will also develop important professional skills required for effective public service delivery.
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R6 000 for the duration of the programme.

Key Responsibilities During The Internship
Interns selected for the programme will assist with several duties within their assigned departments.
Administrative Support
- Provide general office support
- Assist with filing, data capturing and document management
- Handle correspondence and assist with scheduling
- Perform basic clerical duties such as photocopying and record keeping
Research And Reporting
- Assist with departmental research activities
- Help compile reports and presentations
- Support monitoring, evaluation and data analysis tasks
Programme And Project Support
- Assist with the implementation of departmental projects
- Support planning and logistical arrangements
- Help coordinate stakeholders and follow-up activities
Service Delivery Support
- Gain exposure to governance and accountability processes
- Assist with complaint-handling systems
- Learn how oversight institutions support public service delivery
Professional Development
- Participate in training sessions, workshops and induction programmes
- Meet internship performance and development requirements
Minimum Requirements
To apply for the Gauteng Gambling Board Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 34
- Have a Matric certificate or Grade 12 qualification
- Be an unemployed graduate with an NQF-aligned qualification such as a Diploma or Degree
- Must not have previously participated in a government internship programme
- Must not have prior internship, learnership or corporate work experience related to the programme
