FEM Youth Employment Service (YES) Internship Programme 2025

The Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company (FEM) is inviting young South Africans to apply for its YES Internship Programme. This initiative forms part of FEM’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth development and promoting inclusive economic growth in South Africa.

n South Africa’s construction sector, FEM is the specialised insurer employers deal with for compliance with health and safety concern and for insurance covefage for workers in the sector. 

FEM offers tailored solutions, health & safety support and a specific focus on the construction industry.

The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme is a business-led partnership with government designed to reduce youth unemployment by creating valuable workplace opportunities across various sectors. Through this 12-month internship, participants will gain hands-on experience, develop essential professional skills, and enhance their employability for future career opportunities.

FEM currently has ten internship programmes available

Here are the internships available:

  • Claims

  • Health and Safety

  • HR

  • IT

  • Marketing

  • Pensions

  • Product Development

  • Rehab

  • Risk and Compliance

  • Underwriting

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Completed Matric qualification
  • Currently unemployed
  • Aged between 18 and 35 years old
  • Belong to a designated group

Additional Advantage: Candidates with an Administration qualification will be given preference.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit a detailed CV by 31 October 2025. Applications that do not meet the minimum criteria may not be considered.
