Engen is inviting applications for its 24-month Graduate Development Programme in Cape Town. The programme is aimed at high-performing graduates and students who are completing their qualifications by the end of 2026 and want to launch their careers in the energy industry.

The Engen Graduate Trainee Programme provides participants with meaningful workplace experience, professional development and exposure to real business challenges.

Through practical experience, mentoring, coaching, structured learning and cross-functional exposure, graduates will have the opportunity to develop the skills and capabilities needed to build successful careers and prepare for future leadership roles.

Engen Graduate Programme Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Have completed, or be studying towards, a relevant qualification in one of the listed disciplines, with completion required by the end of 2026.
  • Have a strong academic record with an overall average of at least 70%.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning, innovation and continuous improvement.

Documents Required

Applicants must attach the following documents to their application:

  • Comprehensive CV.
  • Certified copy of qualification or qualifications.
  • Certified copy of South African ID.
  • Academic transcript.
