Clicks Group

is inviting unemployed young South Africans to apply for its National Certificate Wholesale and Retail Distribution Learnership Programme.

The 12-month learnership opportunity will be hosted by UPD, a division within the Clicks Group.

Applications for the learnership close on 23rd May 2026.

About The Clicks Group Learnership Programme

The learnership programme combines both theoretical training and practical workplace experience to equip learners with the skills needed to succeed in the wholesale, retail and supply chain sector.

The programme is aimed at:

  • Unemployed matriculants
  • People living with disabilities (PWDs)

Successful candidates will gain valuable workplace exposure while completing a National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Distribution.

Duties And Responsibilities

Learners selected for the programme will be required to:

  • Attend all training and classroom sessions
  • Complete workplace training and practical activities
  • Submit a Portfolio of Evidence demonstrating competency
  • Support team operations under supervision
  • Successfully complete all learnership requirements

The programme is designed to help learners develop workplace readiness, customer service and retail distribution skills.

Skills And Competencies Required

Clicks Group is looking for candidates who demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Customer service orientation
  • Teamwork skills
  • Integrity
  • Attention to detail
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Basic computer literacy

Essential workplace competencies include:

  • Following instructions and procedures
  • Working effectively with people
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
  • Planning and organising
  • Building professional relationships
  • Adhering to principles and values

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the learnership, applicants must:

  • Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be unemployed
  • Be living with a disability

Locations

Learnerships are available in Roodepoort, Montague Gardens Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha.

The Clicks Group learnership offers young people living with disabilities the opportunity to gain recognised training and practical workplace experience within the pharmaceutical retail and wholesale distribution sector.

Successful learners will build valuable skills that can improve future employment opportunities within the retail, FMCG and supply chain industries.
