About The Air Liquide Industrial Performance Internship
The Industrial Performance Internship is a fixed-term graduate programme aimed at developing future engineering and data professionals. Successful candidates will support the company's Performance Management System (PMS), helping to improve data quality, monitor operational performance, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
Interns will gain first-hand experience in industrial key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting systems, automation processes, and performance analysis within a leading industrial gas company.
Internship Responsibilities
Performance Management System Support
Successful interns will:
- Learn and apply Performance Management System (PMS) reporting standards and governance procedures.
- Assist with documenting and implementing PMS best practices across the business.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving data quality and integrity.
Data Quality And Governance
Interns will help:
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Support the development of reliable and accurate reporting systems.
- Contribute to establishing the PMS as the organisation's primary source of performance data.
KPI Reporting And Automation
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the maintenance and optimisation of KPI reporting scripts and templates.
- Supporting automation initiatives using AI and data-driven technologies.
- Developing and updating weekly and monthly performance dashboards.
- Creating reports using existing reporting frameworks.
Performance Analysis
Interns will also:
- Prepare data packs for monthly performance review meetings.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Air Liquide Industrial Performance Internship, applicants must:
- Be currently completing or have recently completed a Bachelor's Degree (BEng or BSc) in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Data Science
- Or a related technical field
- Have a strong interest in industrial operations, data analytics, and performance monitoring.
- Be eager to learn and develop professionally in a data-driven industrial environment.
No previous work experience is required, although academic projects demonstrating data analysis skills will be advantageous.
Skills And Competencies
Candidates should possess:
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
