This programme is ideal for candidates who are eager to develop their communication, customer service and administrative skills in a professional contact centre environment.

About the Afrirent Contact Centre Internship

Afrirent Mobility is inviting motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join its Customer Contact Centre team. During the programme, learners will receive practical workplace experience while supporting customers with a range of vehicle-related services and enquiries.

Participants will work in a dynamic environment where they will develop essential customer service, problem-solving and communication skills that can help launch a career in the contact centre and customer experience industry.

Contact Centre Internship Responsibilities

Successful applicants will assist with a variety of customer service and contact centre duties, including:

Customer Service And Query Resolution

Learners will:

  • Respond to customer enquiries received via telephone, email and contact centre systems in line with service level agreements.
  • Provide customers with information relating to vehicle maintenance, repair bookings, breakdown assistance and service processes.
  • Capture and verify customer, vehicle and case information accurately on fleet management systems.
  • Create and manage customer service cases, including issuing reference numbers.
  • Request outstanding documentation or information from customers, internal departments and service providers.

Inbound Call Handling

Participants will be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming customer calls professionally.
  • Following approved call centre procedures and scripts.
  • Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Capturing customer and vehicle information accurately.
  • Delivering efficient and professional customer service.

Outbound Customer Support

Learners will also:

  • Make follow-up calls regarding customer queries, vehicle breakdowns and service requests.
  • Liaise with service providers to monitor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep customers informed about the progress of repairs and breakdown assistance.
  • Confirm repair bookings and scheduled maintenance appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer communications.

Afrirent Contact Centre Internship Requirements

To be considered for the programme, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Matric (National Senior Certificate) or NQF Level 4 qualification.

Candidates with an NQF Level 5 qualification in Office Administration, Customer Care or a related field will have an added advantage.
