There is a massive cybersecurity skills shortage in South Africa, and we are committed to solving it through our Cybersecurity Bootcamp.

The bootcamp teaches coders how to implement cybersecurity best practices, as well as how to adapt to new threats. This is a critical skill to have at a time when the cybersecurity landscape is rapidly growing in complexity. Once-common defence tactics are being rendered obsolete within a few years, meaning cybersecurity professionals must be able to evolve with the times to succeed.

Failure to do this will result in businesses cybersecurity systems becoming outdated – putting important applications and data at major risk of attack.

About Our Cyber Security Bootcamp

To take part in a Code College Cybersecurity Bootcamp, applicants must first prove their competence in coding. This can be done by taking part in a Code College Java Software Engineering Bootcamp, or by proving they have the necessary knowledge through a special Code College test.

Once learners have registered for the Cybersecurity Bootcamp, they will learn how to protect key business data effectively using best practices.

The Cyber Security module runs for 4 weeks and is inside the 4IR Bootcamp (which also covers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), after which participants will have in-depth knowledge of Applied Information Security practices and be prepared to continue with other international examinations and qualifications – like the prestigious Security+ certification.

If you complete both the bootcamp and the Security+ certification, you can apply for positions like Cyber Security Technician, Cyber Security Analyst, and Junior Cyber Security Engineer.

Additionally, thanks to your grounding as a coder, you will have the problem-solving skills and the technical knowledge to adapt your cybersecurity strategies as necessary.

First-hand experience

Code College bootcamps are the best way to upgrade your career, but don’t just take our word for it – listen to what graduate Kundani has to say. Unsatisfied with the non-practical nature of his Maths and Computer Science courses and facing financial challenges, Kundani dropped out of university in 2023 and joined Code College.

Code College impressed me most with its practical approach, success stories, and being deep-rooted in the ICT industry for a long time. They also offered me financial assistance.

By the time he had completed his studies at Code College, Kundani had built up an extensive portfolio that formed an integral part of his CV. With his new qualifications and strong CV, Kundani quickly found a Junior Full-Stack Web Developer job.

Ready to transform your future? Apply now and join the ranks of successful CodeCollege graduates already making their mark in the tech world.
