But is a career in tech right for you?

Before you make this decision, there are some signs that will help you figure out if you should be in tech or not. A job in tech may sound like a dream come true to some people, but getting there isn’t as simple as it might seem. We’re not all cut out for the fast-paced, high-pressure and complex world. It’s competitive, stressful, and often isolating.

First of all, are you someone who likes to solve problems and hates when things don’t work? Then maybe a career in tech is right for you. The reason why most of us go into a career in tech is because we want to help fix something that isn’t working well. We also love to see things that aren’t working suddenly start to function perfectly and efficiently. If you can’t wait until things are running smoothly again, then a career in tech could be for you.

Do you like having your hands on everything? Also another sign that could mean you belong in tech. You have an interest in knowing how everything works.

We’re all familiar with the buzzwords: flexible, creative, engaging…these are just a few of the terms used to describe jobs that fit perfectly into our tech-obsessed world. But finding a job that fits your skills and personality is just as important as finding an industry that fits your lifestyle.
