Comedians are people who entertain their audience with jokes and humorous stories. While comedians might not need formal training to pursue their careers, they do need to put in a lot of time and effort into their comedy assignments.

Being a comedian can be a challenging job. A comedian has to use different techniques to make an audience laugh. This may seem easy, but it is not. They have to think about what they are going to say, how they are going to say it, and when they will say it. These things could take weeks or even months before actually performing in front of an audience.

Comedians are people who entertain their audience with jokes and humorous stories. They have to watch a lot of television shows, movies, magazines, and etc. They have to study the patterns of speech and behaviour in order to create their own jokes. Comedians need to be good storytellers, tell good jokes, and be able to think quickly on their feet. Comedians are usually paid per show, but they also earn money from merchandise sales. Some comedians are also actors. You must have talent as well as social skills in order to become a comedian.

There's something rather unnerving about a room of people who are focused on you. It's not that you're the center of attention, it's that they're judging you and, quite frankly, waiting for you to fail. It all comes down to the fact that stand-up comedy is one of the most intimate and intimidating forms of performance out there. The stage is small and often dark, meaning there's no place to hide your mistakes. The audience can see every facial tic or flubbed line on your part. And if a comedian bombs, there's nowhere to hide—no backstage area to retreat to, no costume or characters to step behind.

Mastering standup comedy requires years of hard work. You have to write jokes and practice them until they're tight enough for a live audience - but even then, you'll still have fluffs or moments when a joke just doesn't land right.

4 tips for mastering standup comedy:

1) Write out your material: This forces you to be creative and lets you get feedback from others on your material before you deliver it.

2) Practice performing aloud: Say your jokes out loud as much as possible until they feel natural to you. Don't be afraid to be terrible when you're starting out—that's how you learn!

3) Practice in front of an audience: There's a big difference between practicing in front of a mirror and actually performing for other people. You'll know if your jokes work or not when you see how people respond to them.

4) Keep at it until you're good enough: It takes time to build up the skills and confidence needed to be good at standup comedy. Don't give up if it doesn't seem like things are improving after a while - they will!

The most important thing to remember when getting on stage, it makes sense to put in enough time and effort in developing your material. It's essentially the backbone of standup comedy - without material you don't have standup comedy (and trust me, no one wants that).
