- If you are applying for a student loan without surety then you can complete an application online by going to the Standard Bank website and filling in the required information.
- If you are applying for a student loan with surety via 'Do I Qualify' on the website then you can visit your nearest Standard Bank branch within 7 days once you have managed to gather all of your documents for a consultant to help you with the final stage of your application.
Standard Bank has stated that tuition fees and accommodation fees are paid to relevant parties such as the tertiary institution and the landlord. However, the money for textbooks and equipment are directly into the surety's transactional account or into the account of the student if they are the surety.
The student loan repayment plan for each student may vary according to how they plan on completing their studies and whether or not they have a surety.
