Millions of people rely on social grant payments to survive every month. Sassa has revealed the October 2024 SRD Grant payment dates. 


The detection of identity fraud in the SRD grant application system has placed Sassa under intense scrutiny. There are now intensified calls for human oversight. 


Millions of people living in South Africa rely on social grants to survive every month. Grant beneficiaries can now collect their new Sassa black card. 


Sassa has flagged approximately 2 million SRD grant applications for suspected fraud. This comes at a time when their SRD Grant system's vulnerabilities are under immense scrutiny. 


Sassa disputes that their SRD grant system has been breached. However, they are aware of fraud and are taking action to mitigate the impact. 


Several social grants received an increment in their values in October 2024, including the Older persons grant. Here's how much the Sassa pension is now. 


The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant was introduced to provide financial support to South Africa's most vulnerable citizens. However, the SRD grant system meant to facilitate the applications for the grant has been infiltrated. 


The SRD grant is the only financial support available to unemployed people living in South Africa. Sassa has provided an update on SRD grant applications. 


Sassa pays grants to millions of individuals in South Africa. Postbank recently launched the new black Sassa card in for beneficiaries to use.
