As the 2023 National Senior Certificates (NSC) approaches its conclusion, the department has provided their official debrief. They revealed all the important numbers behind examinations, challenges which occurred and how they were mitigated.


The day for Matric results to be released is near and there are definitely Matrics out there who are shivering in their boots but no worries, there is always a Plan B. Careers Portal sat down to chat with Kristal Duncan-Williams, the Project Lead at Youth Capital on Matric results, matric rewrites and youth unemployment.


As the final week of the 2023 National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams commence, thousands of learners will begin the wait. This wait will last more than one month to receive their NSC results. 
 


The release of the 2023 final matric exams are just over a month away. However, several important tasks will be take place before candidates receive their results. 


The final exams of their school careers has come for thousands of grade 12 learners. Here's which subjects will round off the 2023 National Senior Certificate exams. 


More than 900,000 leaners are currently participating in the final matric exams. Reports of examination papers leaking have sparked concern among learners and parents as may require learners to rewrite leaked exam question papers. 


Thousands of Grade 12 learners are currently writing their final school examinations. While contingency plans are in place to deal with power cuts, a reduction in loadshedding in benefitting matriculants around South Africa. 
 


Almost one million learners are currently writing their final school exams at matric venues around South Africa. Statistics from the Basic Education Department have revealed that hundreds of thousands of learners who should be participating in the critical examinations are not.
