Internship Overview

The Intern Customer Support Operator role is designed for motivated individuals who excel in fast-paced settings and are passionate about customer service. This internship provides opportunities to tackle new challenges, build professional expertise, and grow beyond your comfort zone.

Note: This position is open to currently unemployed South African citizens from designated groups, aligning with Siemens’ employment equity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intern Customer Support Operator, you will:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests with high availability.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for service operations.
  • Handle order processing, inquiries, and product/service requests.
  • Manage client order tracking and maintain accurate records in the system.
  • Escalate complex issues** to qualified technical or service technicians.
  • Collaborate with clients and sales representatives** to resolve order queries.
  • Investigate and address commercial and technical issues.
  • Offer pre- and post-sales technical guidance for customer solutions.
  • Support the Area Service Manager in resource planning tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Matric qualification.
  • Customer service experience (preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication skills and composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to work accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • South African citizenship.
