Are you passionate about building a safer workplace in the construction industry? Power Construction, a leading company in the civil and building sector, is offering a 12-month NQF Level 4 Occupational Health and Safety Learnership opportunity based in Cape Town.

This programme combines accredited theoretical training with practical on-site experience—ideal for individuals with a technical background who want to pursue a career in health and safety.

Learnership Title: NQF4 Occupational Health and Safety Learnership

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

4 months of classroom-based theory in Cape Town

8 months of hands-on practical training at construction sites

Start Date: July 2025

What We Offer:

  •     A fully accredited NQF Level 4 Health and Safety Qualification
  •     Structured 12-month programme with both classroom and workplace learning
  •     Exposure to real-world civil construction environments
  •     Career development opportunities in one of South Africa’s leading construction companies

Minimum Requirements:

To be eligible, applicants must:

  •     Have a Matric Certificate
  •     Hold an N6 qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  •     Be a South African citizen
  •     Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Added Advantages:

  •     Strong interest in the construction and health & safety industries
  •     Demonstrated leadership qualities
  •     Ability to communicate in an additional South African language
  •     Preference will be given to Employment Equity (EE/AA) candidates in line with the company’s transformation goals

  •     Updated CV
  •     Certified copy of your South African ID
  •     Certified copy of your Matric certificate
  •     Certified copy of your N6 qualification
  •     Proof of residential address
