Pepkor Graduate Internship Programme 2026 Now Open For Applications

Pepkor Lifestyle is inviting unemployed graduates and TVET college students to apply for its Wholesale and Retail SETA-funded Work Integrated Learning Programme.

This graduate internship programme offers young South Africans the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while building their careers within one of the country’s largest wholesale and retail groups.

The programme runs for 12 months for graduates and 18 months for TVET students requiring practical workplace training.

About The Pepkor Internship Programme

Pepkor is looking for passionate, motivated and energetic young people who are eager to develop their professional skills and gain hands-on industry experience.

Successful candidates will receive structured workplace exposure across different business functions while working alongside experienced professionals.

Fields Of Study Accepted

Applications are open to graduates and students with qualifications in the following fields:

  • Business Management or Business Administration
  • Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BCom Law or BCom Risk Management
  • BCom Financial Management
  • BSc or BCom Software Engineering
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management N6
  • IT Project Administration or Project Management
  • IT Information Systems or Business Information Technology N6

Graduates from TVET colleges and Higher Education and Training (HET) institutions who require 18 months of practical workplace experience are also encouraged to apply.

What The Internship Offers

The Pepkor Graduate Programme provides:

  • Structured workplace training and development
  • Exposure to different departments and business operations
  • Support from experienced professionals and mentors

  • Hands-on experience through store and location visits

Key Responsibilities

Interns will be expected to:

  • Attend onboarding and induction programmes
  • Perform duties under the supervision of senior staff
  • Conduct research and identify industry trends and best practices
  • Visit stores and operational sites for practical experience
  • Prepare and deliver presentations
  • Assist with additional business-related tasks when required

Minimum Requirements

To apply for the Pepkor Internship Programme, applicants must:

  • Hold a qualification from an accredited university or tertiary institution
  • Be unemployed
  • Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID
  • Be younger than 32 years old
  • Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply

  • Certified copy of South African ID
  • Certified copies of qualifications and academic transcripts

Please note that certified documents must not be older than three months.
