MIP is a popular employer because their internship programme works hard to find young people who might not have the training, but have the raw talent for solving problems with technology and software development.

MIP Holdings is a South African company that provides services for financial services companies, both locally and internationally. They believe in developing South African talent to work on their software products and then exporting those services to their global clients.

They proudly look beyond formal training and work experience to find candidates for their internship with the aptitude for this work.

MIP  say that their approach is to remove the obstacles that often prevent “raw talent” from being discovered, namely, expensive tertiary education and prior experience. Instead, we focus on the only real requirements for the work we do, which are:

  • Aptitude: The ability to understand and solve complex problems using simple, repeatable steps. This at the heart of what software developers do. MIP believes that this is a natural ability that some people are born with, just as others have natural abilities in other areas. It is an ability that may exist in anyone, regardless of your background or circumstances.

If this describes you – MIP are looking for you.

  • Attitude: We focus on finding people who want to be economically independent, not just for themselves, but for their families, and the community. We want people who manage their time well, who are ambitious, want a career, not a job, who are energetic, ready to work hard, and who love to help others by solving problems for them. We want people who are honest and ethical in everything they do.

If this describes you – MIP are looking for you.
