This apprenticeship offers aspiring artisans the opportunity to gain both theoretical and practical training while working towards becoming a qualified Millwright. Successful candidates will receive hands-on industry experience within a global leader in construction, mining, forestry, and industrial equipment.

About The Millwright Apprenticeship

The Komatsu Millwright Apprenticeship Programme is designed for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, develop technical skills, and build a long-term career in the engineering and mining sectors.

Through a structured training programme, apprentices will complete both practical workplace training and formal theoretical learning required to achieve artisan status as a Millwright.

Apprenticeship Responsibilities

Successful apprentices will be expected to:

  • Familiarise themselves with the apprenticeship training programme and its requirements.
  • Complete all required practical and theoretical training modules.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety at all times.
  • Follow company procedures and engineering standards.
  • Develop technical competencies required for the Millwright trade.
  • Participate actively in all training and workplace learning activities.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Komatsu Millwright Apprenticeship, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

N3 Qualification

  • N3 certificate with four subjects, including the relevant trade theory subjects.
  • Minimum D symbol or Level 4 pass in Mathematics and Physical Science.

NC(V) Level 4 Qualification

  • NC(V) Level 4 qualification.
  • Minimum D symbol or Level 4 pass in Mathematics and another subject related to Engineering and Related Design or Electrical Infrastructure Construction.

Higher Qualification

  • S1 qualification or higher with a minimum D symbol or Level 4 pass in Mathematics and Physical Science.
