JHB City Parks And Zoo Municipal Youth Graduate Programme 2026 (X60 Posts)

Johannesburg City Parks & Zoo, in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), is inviting applications for the Municipal Youth Graduate Programme. A total of 60 positions are available under reference number EDMS 256981.

This six-month graduate internship programme offers young people in Johannesburg an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while earning a daily stipend.

Programme Details

Duration: 6 months
Daily Stipend: R271,04
Location: City of Johannesburg

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the JHB City Parks and Zoo Graduate Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric plus a minimum of three years of tertiary study (M+3)
  • A qualification with 360 credits, or a Degree/Diploma at NQF Level 6
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
  • Reside within the City of Johannesburg (proof of residence required)

Young people living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications will only be considered if the following documents are submitted:

  • Application letter
  • Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Certified copies of qualifications
  • Proof of residence within the City of Johannesburg

Only applicants who reside in the City of Johannesburg will be considered for this municipal youth graduate opportunity.

This internship programme forms part of ongoing efforts to support youth employment and skills development within the environmental and municipal sectors. Eligible graduates are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date.
