Gijima Holdings, a leader in skills development and technical training, is inviting applications for its 2025 Apprenticeship Programme at the Gijima Middelburg Training Centre. This opportunity is ideal for aspiring artisans ready to begin a career in the mechanical and electrical trades.

Apprenticeship Opportunities:

Candidates may apply for one of the following trades:

• Mechanical Fitter
• Electrician

The Gijima Middelburg Training Centre is a nationally recognised and accredited MERSETA skills development and Trade Test Centre, providing high-quality occupational training for South Africa’s future artisans.

Minimum Requirements:

• An N2 Engineering Certificate, including relevant trade theory subjects.
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Must pass an interview, medical fitness assessment, and qualification verification.

Required N2 Subjects:

For Mechanical Fitter Applicants:
• Mathematics
• Engineering Science
• Technical Drawings
• Fitting Theory

For Electrician Applicants:
• Mathematics
• Engineering Science
• Industrial Electronics
• Electrical Trade Theory

Who Can Apply:

• Only South African citizens will be considered.
• Applicants must reside in either Mpumalanga or Limpopo Province.
• Applicants must meet all minimum requirements – no exceptions.

Documents to Include with Your Application:

• A certified copy of your highest qualification
• Proof of residence
• A clearly indicated trade you are applying for (Mechanical Fitter or Electrician)
• Updated CV
