Gauteng Treasury Internship Programmes 2026

The Gauteng Treasury is inviting applications for six Internship Programme, offering unemployed graduates the chance to gain valuable workplace experience in government.

This graduate internship programme aims to support youth development and skills growth in Gauteng, providing successful applicants with practical exposure over a period of 24 months.

Internships Available

  • Information Communication Technology Internship
  • Communications Internship (3D Animation, Motion Graphics Designer, Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer)
  • Communications Internship (Photography, Videography and Video Editing)
  • Communications Internship (Audio Engineering and Sound Production)
  • Financial Information Management System Internship
  • Human Resource Management System Internship

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is open to recent graduates looking to work in the public sector. The programme is aligned with government’s commitment to employment equity, and applications are encouraged from people with disabilities, as well as candidates from designated groups, including White, Coloured and Indian applicants.

Required Documents

Applicants must ensure that the following documents are submitted:

- A completed new Z83 application form (available from the DPSA website or any government department)
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) outlining qualifications and any relevant experience
- A covering letter
