The Basic Conditions of Employment Act prohibits the employment of children under the age of 15, but once you turn 16 you can start looking at getting a job.
The jobs available to teenagers are limited, though. Work defined as hazardous or inappropriate for minors require you to be 18 or older, and there are limits on how many hours a teenager still in school can work. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't bother!
