What is the meaning of pending status when applying for the SRD Grant?

Answer

This means that your application has been received by SASSA, but it has not yet been approved or declined.

In other words, your application is still being processed, and SASSA will review the information you provided to determine whether you qualify for the grant. During this time, you may not be able to see the status of your application update immediately. The processing time can take a few days or even weeks depending on the volume of applications being received.

If you are unsure about the status of your application or you have any questions, you can do another Sassa status check or contact the SASSA Call Centre on 0800 60 10 11 for assistance.
