Eduvos has a long history that started in 1979 with the founding of the Computer Technology Institute (CTI) that was later merged with Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) and operated for some years as Pearson Institute of Higher Education (PIHE). The new name of the institution was the result of a change of ownership and a new focus on high quality, blended learning across Africa.

Eduvos offers a combination of programmes on campus, in blended mode and online. The wide selection of options gives students choice to experience learning in various modes of learning provide opportunities to working adults who need to upskill or reskill themselves via part-time learning.
