What Can I Drive with a Code 10 License?

Answer

A Code 10 allows you to drive any vehicle up to 16 000 Kg and tow a trailer weighing up to 750 Kg. You may also legally drive a Code 8 vehicle with a Code 10 license. To take the Code 10 test, you need to have a learner's license.

You may drive the following:

Light motor vehicles: Code 10 allows you to drive any light motor vehicle, including cars, bakkies, vans and small trucks with a weight not exceeding 16,000 kg.
Heavy motor vehicles: Code 10 also permits you to drive heavy motor vehicles, including buses, goods vehicles and trucks with a weight not exceeding 16,000 kg.
