Every year the City of Cape Town creates work for about 40 000 unemployed Capetonians via EPWP. EPWP offers short-term and medium-term work opportunities for those who are unemployed or under-skilled.


City invites young Capetonians to apply for the Junior City Council. The application process for the Junior City Council 2022/23 has officially commenced.


The Youth Development Programme involves training unemployed youths to mentor children aged 13 years and older through the use of sport.


Our Arts and Culture Department has developed the Emerging Artists Programme. The programme supports talented artists in accessing art supplies, finding exhibition and studio space and selling their work.
