Physical address: The NSFAS head office is in central Cape Town but it is not necessary to go there in person if you have enquiries about your funding.
MyNSFAS Account
When you apply for NSFAS funding you will set up a MyNSFAS account. This is the name given to the NSFAS student portal which is available online via a laptop or your phone. There are other websites with NSFAS information provided to you if you are a student or an applicant.

Student Support For Higher Education and Further Education
NSFAS supports students and helps them to concentrate on their studies without having to worry about who will pay the fees and provide them with food and accommodation!
NSFAS financial aid is only provided to students who are studying at one of the country's 52 TVET Colleges or 26 public universities. These are the only institutions that are eligible for NSFAS financial aid. In addition students must also meet the financial requirements - that means their family income mustn't be more than R350 000 per year.
According to the NSFAS Chief Executive Officer the institution received 21 359 applications for 2021/ 2022 academic year, and 15 754 of the applications were evaluated with 12 244 approved for funding. However the remaining 3010 applicants didn't meet funding requirements.

NSFAS is the most popular bursary in the country because it is so wide. It covers your fees, at university or TVET College, your accommodation (Depending on the rules of the place where you are studying), and for university students also allowances for books or equipment.
