Cape Business and Engineering College was established in 2017. The main motivation behind the establishment of CBEC was to provide affordable quality accredited tertiary education to South Africans.

Felix Higher Education and Training (Pty) Ltd is a private higher education institution registered in terms of the Higher Education Act (Act 101 of 1997 as amended). It was established in 2017, but has only become operational, offering affordable tertiary management education to all individuals seeking to upskill.

Akademia is a Christian Afrikaans institution. They offer a variety of courses at their campuses. There are thirteen campuses.

Wilberforce Community College was founded by the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1905 as an independent educational institution.
