College open dates will vary depending on the college but according the government the academic year will be returning to normal for the 2022 academic year.


Often matrics will experience difficulty finding placement in public universities as there are not enough spaces, however they do not have to fret as there are various alternatives available for further education and training. 


NSFAS Administrator Dr Carolissen discusses why NSFAS students have had to wait until the next academic year for their promised laptops. 


With the 2020 school year coming to an end and the academic year for some tertiary institutions finishing, higher education now has to put plans in place for next year as we all try to live alongside the virus and minimise it's effects.


Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande, has detailed when Universities will be completing the current academic year as well when they'll be starting the next. Surprisingly, these dates might not be what we originally thought they would be due to the pandemic.


The Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande, is set to hold a briefing tomorrow to speak on the National Lockdown and what it means for Higher Education. He will also be addressing issues concerning NSFAS allowances and the return of students to campuses.
