The Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism invites applications from suitably qualified young graduates from Limpopo Province (between 18-35 years) to participate in 24 months’ internship programme. 

The Pinotage Youth Development Academy, based in the Cape Winelands, develops the capacity of young, disadvantaged South Africans to prepare them for employment within the wine industry and related sectors, such as hospitality and tourism.

Tourism Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe has called on young people interested in the tourism sector to approach her department for more information and for assistance in establishing their own businesses.

Hundreds of tourism operators and experts will converge at Sun City this as the North West Tourism Agency hosts the 2018 National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE). 

The North West Department of Tourism will be arranging for tourist guides in the province during 2018. This initiative is for training of new entrants from all the four districts of the province.

In a bid tackle unemployment among the youth, Tourism Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe recently officiated at the Hospitality Youth Training Programme (HYTP) graduation ceremony of 83 learners in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth.
