The second phase of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative is currently underway. Approximately 287 000 young unemployed individuals were placed at schools and given employment and training opportunities in the Education sector.


The education assistants who were recruited as part of the Basic Education Employment Initiative have officially stepped into schools and started work. This initiative is said to be helping the youth of South Africa in various ways.


Are you between the ages of 18 and 35 years? Are you currently unemployed and not receiving any form of government grant? This might be the opportunity for you.


The Basic Education Minister addressed the media on Friday afternoon where she gave an update on the Basic Education Employment Initiative. This initiative sees thousands of youth being hired to fill school assistant job vacancies.
