Sassa has announced that recipients of the R350 Social Relief of Distress grant will no longer be able to collect their grant payments from the South African Post Office. The Sassa spokesperson has explained why the R350 grants are no longer available at Post Offices. 


Many applicants have been experiencing delays with their R350 grant appeal process which may be causing some frustration. Here is what may be causing these delays.


Sassa announced that from Wednesday 11 May beneficiaries would not be able to receive their social grants from their usual pay points. Sassa's spokesperson has more to say about this.


The Department of Social Development has recently made its budget, in which more details have been given on the funding allocation made towards the Social Relieved of Distress grant. Here are more details on how the department intends to carry out upcoming grant disbursements and some responses to the speech.
