Umalusi has been encouraged to improve the waiting period for processing certificates, as Grade 12 learners have been waiting a long time for their certificates.


Monday saw the beginning of the May/June matric examination period. This year, almost 300 000 candidates are sitting for this exam.

If you are part of the cohort of 2021 matric learners and want to better your NSC matric marks, the education department has extended the registration deadline. This opportunity is only for National Senior Certificate (NSC) and Senior Certificate (SC) candidates.

 


After a terrifying hail storm that damaged a matric marking centre in the Free State, the Basic Education Department has reported that these markers are safe and have been relocated.


The anxiety of waiting for your results may play on your mind until the day they are released. However, in recent years the Gauteng Department of Education  (GDE) has allowed matriculants to access their results before they are given to these learners at school.


Last week, markers around the country began marking the final examination scripts for the grade 12 class of 2021. Markers are still in the process of marking exam scripts, despite the threat of the Omicron variant.

 


The National Senior Certificate and the National Benchmark Test are both used as means to access education at higher learning institutions, but they perform different functions. Here's the difference between the two. 


The Class of 2021 is now in the middle of their final Matric examination, with exams coming to an end in December for  Matrics. Here's when IEB learners should expect their final Matric results to be released.


As the Basic Education Minister took to the stand today, she announced that over 700 000 Matrics will be writing with almost 900 000 sitting for this year's final Matric exams. Exams will begin in less than three weeks.


It is crunch-time for Matrics! Twelve years of schooling and seemingly endless learning experiences have all lead to this moment, the last few weeks before the final Matric exams.
