Mid-year university examinations have been halted due to protests at the Umlazi Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) campus. The university’s executive held a meeting to come up with solutions.

In the first semester of the 2022 academic year, the Stellenbosh University (SU) had made headlines for racism and rape allegations within its student community. One student who laid a complaint is not happy with how things are being handled by a panel appointed to investigate the matter.

Its been over a year since destructive fires swept over Table Mountain and the University of Cape Town (UCT) Jagger Library. Experts and university alumni are among the individuals that have also played their part in reviving the iconic library.

As the Higher Education Department continues to work on ensuring that the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) funds are disbursed as conveniently and efficiently as possible among qualifying students in tertiary institutions. The department has warned against any NSFAS-related fraudulent activities that students may perpetrate.

Semester two registrations are currently active and underway at the University of Africa (Unisa). Thus, the university has appealed to all registering self-funded students to ensure that their payments are up to date to ensure that their registration process is without any hassles.
