matric results release

If you did not pass your National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams or you are perhaps unhappy with your results, you may apply to have your exam paper re-marked or re-checked.

The DA announced that South Africa's 2020 matric results are not accurate as it does not truly reflect the number of students who are failed the 2020 NSC exams in the country.

Panyaza Lesufi, the Gauteng Education MEC, takes an aim at the education quality assurance body. Lesufi announced that Umalusi was unfair to the Matric Class of 2020.

Doing the hard work and getting top notch results definitely has it's rewards. Matric top achievers are being awarded  bursaries and laptops for their great work. President Cyril Ramaphosa has labelled those who sat for the 2020 National Senior Certificate 'scholars of courage'.

The Western Cape Education MEC, Debbie Scafer says the provincial department is very pleased with the results achieved by the 2020 matrics. The province placed third in the country for their overall pass rate.

Education unions, Naptosa and SADTU have said that they are pleased with the 2020 matric results despite the drop in the pass rate, which was expected due to the effects of Covid-19 on teaching and learning.

Minister Angie Motshekga announced the Class of 2020's Matric pass rate which, just as expected, was lower that last year's. The results are however still something to be proud of when looking at the impact of Covid-19 on the school year.

The day for Matric results to be released is near and there are definitely Matrics out there who are shivering in their boots but no worries, there is always a Plan B. Careers Portal sat down to chat with Kristal Duncan-Williams, the Project Lead at Youth Capital on Matric results, matric rewrites and youth unemployment.

The matric results will be announced by the Basic Education Minister today and student organisation COSAS expects the 2020 matrics in Limpopo to perform well despite the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Basic Education's Minister, Angie Motshekga, will announce the Matric results today as they are set to be released. Learners will then be heading to schools for their Matric results statements tomorrow.
