Logistics is the term which generally means the management of transportation of information, from one place to another. Logistics involves things like transportation, inventory, packaging, supplies and sometimes, social security and warehousing. There are many logistics internships, logistics apprenticeships and logistics learnerships available.

For someone who has their sights set on a career in Logistics, South African private and public universities offer a great variety of qualifications within this field to choose from.

Ruan Venter from Boston City Campus says that graduates who are equipped with a comprehensive and integrated knowledge of logistics will have doors open to them. 'The growth in the importance of logistics and supply chain management has grown in an exponential way,' says Venter, Registrar at Boston City Campus.

'The importance of logistics and supply chain management has grown in a really big way,' says Patience Mahlaba of Boston City Campus & Business College, Braamfontein.
