The hall at Glenvista High School has been set alight with pupils reportedly being the culprits. Learners at the school had to resort to writing their exams outside.


Damage from looting activities in Kwazulu-Natal and Gauteng spread as far as schools. Now, Government has been told that these damages amount to a cost of R140 million with no answers being given as to where this money will come from.


Today is the first day of the third term, even for those schools affected by looting in Gauteng and Kawzulu-Natal. Keep reading to find out how this went and the plans the department has to recover.


A huge amount of learners seemed to have dropped out of school in Gauteng. With schools now in their second month of schooling, there is also over 200 learners who remain unplaced in schools. The Department aims to clear the backlog this week.


Now that the country is seeing high increases in cases as we tackle the second Covid wave, parents have started asking questions when it comes to their childrens' schooling. Will the rotational timetable for school attendance remain in place?
