The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has reminded recipients of the R350 (SRD) grant that they will only be able to receive their payments on one day for the rest of the week. Here is the reason why, as well as other important grant payment dates.

This week might be closer to its end but the month of April has just begun, and if you’re a R350 grant recipient, it is important for you to know that there will only be one grant payment next week.

This is because the Sassa will be paying out other social grants throughout the week. These include the Older Persons, Disability, and Children's Grants.

The only R350 grant that will be paid out this week, according to Sassa's Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant payment schedule, is on Friday 8 April, to SRD grant recipients with these last three digits of their ID numbers: 082 & 087.

When other social grants are being paid out, Sassa does not process SRD grant payments. The following is a list of the grant collection dates for people who want to collect their Older Persons, Disability, and Children's Grants this week:

  • Older Persons Grant - Monday 4 April
  • Disability Grant - Tuesday 5 April
  • Children's Grants - Wednesday 6 April

Grant beneficiaries should also wait until they receive an SMS confirmation that their R350 grants are ready before going to collect them.

If you receive your R350 grant through a bank account, you should be aware that there is no set payment date, since Sassa has promised beneficiaries that they will receive their money.
