A number of universities have opened their applications for the 2023 academic year. Students are welcome to apply to the universities listed below.

Many universities have started their application processes. Here are a few South African universities that are opening their 2023 applications in May.

Walter Sisulu University

The university offers students a variety of courses in the following faculties; Business Management Sciences and Law, Education, Health Sciences, and Science, Engineering and Technology. 

Students may apply to the university online via their website.

Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Students interested in studying courses in the following facilities; Applied Sciences, Business and Management Sciences, Education, Engineering and the Built Environment, Health and Wellness Services, and Informatics and Design, may apply to the university.  

Applications are done online via the university website.

University of the Western Cape

Applications open on 14 May 2022. Students may apply online via the university website. The university reminds students to upload all the necessary documents before the closing date as only complete applications will be considered.

According to the university website, more than 200 degrees, diplomas and certificates are offered at the institution.

These universities will open their application process on the following dates:

  • University of Fort Hare: 1 June
  • Central University of Technology: June/July
  • Unisa: August/September
  • Vaal University of Technology: June
  • University of Venda: July
  • University of Mpumalanga:1 June

Students are advised to research their universities before applying to ensure that it is the right place for them. Students should also check the admission criteria and how to apply.
