SASSA R350 Grant Payment 'Could Be Split'

SASSA's Relief of Distress Fund has had a few technical and administrative problems since it was introduced in may, which has left about six million people without financial relief.

To date many people are still waiting for their grant payments from the previous month. SASSA has previously promised to pay those who have waited longer than others for the payments they have missed.

SASSA has explained that they would split these payments over a couple of days or weeks. So instead of receiving two R350 payments at once in July, they will receive the payments between paydays. Unfortunately, there is no final date for when those people will receive their payments.

However, SASSA has outlined how payments will work for those who did not receive June's Payment yet. Those who have not received June's payment yet, will not receive July's payment until they receive June's.

Every month each applicant will be reviewed to see if they still qualify for the grant.
