The first week of June is on the horizon and if you are a Sassa social grant beneficiary who is waiting to receive their next social grant payment, then the following payment dates for June may be important for you to keep it mind.

According to the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa), roughly 46% South Africans receive social grants from the agency.

The South African Social Security (Sassa) disburses permanent grants to eligible applicants during the first week of every month. The Disability, Older Persons', Care Dependency, and Child Support grants are among the grants available.

Sassa has also stated it will start distributing these social grants on the second day of each month. Beneficiaries will receive their grants earlier each month due to this of the announcement

Grant payments for the month of June will be available from Thursday 2 June 2022, however, the Post Office does not provide grants on public holidays.

Payment dates for June 2022

Thursday 2 June 2022: Older Persons Grant
Friday 3 June 2022: Disability Grant
Monday 6 June 2022: Children’s Grants
