You will receive confirmation once you've completed your application.
Individuals who previously cancelled the grant and would like to re-activate it, due to a change in their circumstances, should also re-apply.
SASSA is said to have done some improvements in the system so that they can better serve applicants as well as speed up the time they take to verify and pay applicants and approved beneficiaries.
All applications will be treated as new applications every month. However, each applicant would only need to apply once for their application to be considered every month.
With the previous round of R350 grants, SASSA received 10 million applications and 6 million of them were approved. R24 billion was made in payments with a further R15 billion for top ups for all grant types.
